My name is Markus Walter and I live in Vockenrot at Wertheim. I´m sure you remeber Vockenrot from your time as you was here in Germany and served at the Peden Barracks, the small village in the direct neighbourhood of the Barracks.
In the year 2012 we will celebrate the 800 years of Vockenrots foundation. The younger past was surely affected by US soldiers and their families which live in our neighbourhood.
The question I have: Can you help me to provide pictures from the 60`s to 90`which show our village. Perhaps you can share this requests with other soldiers which you are still in contact with.
We have several workshops in our village and we try to prepare a kind of exhibition about several periods of the time. My job is to do something together with my kids about the Peden Barracks and how the 40 years of directly neighbourhood has affected the daily live in Vockenrot.
I´m on a regular basis in the US, and I have an adress in Northern KY, where i have an office next to Cincinnati airport. So if you have an idea how to support us , have pics etc. there is no need to send it to Germany. Everything from your side which is related to our Village is more then welcome.
