Oh those days at Graf: the thunder and roar of big cannons and missiles, day and night,seem- ingly countless nights on guard duty, close encounter with a M-60 tank on a trail where the tank al- ways has the right-of-way,a hilar- ious scene where a soldier appeared in the morning formation wearing a German army clothing(note German barracks located next to ours).I really enjoyed traveling on the autobahn going and returning from Graf.It was truly an awesome sight with all the military vehicles in a long endless convoy.like going to war.Once served at Peden Barracks.
